The Gas Tungsten Arc Welding course is designed to teach welders about arc welding safety and the gas tungsten arc process in this preparatory beginner course. One-hundred and ten (110) hours of booth instruction and ten (10) hours of lecture and practice make up this course.
Course Contents:
Learn fundamentals of GTAW (TIG)
Welding Procedures are taught on aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel.
Welding on edge, corner, lap, butt and fillet welds.
Welding is limited to 11 gauge materials which does not include thick plate, pipe or other irregular shapes
Course Objective:
Each student will have an understanding on how the GTAW process works and be able to perform a fillet weld in all positions. Student will receive a certificate upon completion.
